Two great studios in the dance community have joined forces to become one! Bauer Dance Studio, owned by Nikki Royce and Synergy Dance Academy, owned by Carol Hazel have now become a new and improved Synergy Dance Academy

Synergy Dance Academy, currently located at 4218 Charlar will be relocating to the former Bauer location at 2018 N. Cedar (right next to Bigg B's)on Oct 13th, the studio houses three large dance studios with a pro-shop, and the waiting room transforms to a great place to host craft classes, parties, functions such as open mics, karaoke, and songwriter nights during off hours. We also have a satellite (additional) location at Red Cedar Gymnastics in Lansing

Our studio offers Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Tumbling, Craft Classes, Ballroom, and Partnering. Both recreational programs and competitive programs are available with more ages and levels being offered in both. Day classes for Holt students that have 1/2 days on Wed's, homeschoolers, and preschool students as young as 2 years old. The Senior Company is progressing and has added an apprentice level. New performance groups include the Fabulous Forevers, an adult performance troupe that performs for senior citizen homes (tap, jazz and hip hop). This platform was developed for adults that danced as children and adolescents and would like to continue their dance training at somewhat of a serious level. There are currently beginning and intermediate levels with an advanced level to be formed upon audition. There are also adult classes for novices including Ballet, Jazz, Partner/Ballroom and Tap.

For active senior citizens and adults we have added Tap 101 with progression to levels 102 and 103. Tap is a dance form that has great longevity and increases both balance and rhythm while providing a great creative outlet and fun form of exercise.

Both Nikki Royce and Carol Hazel are looking forward to this year with great anticipation and feel a comradry and "synergy", if you will, with each other that they feel will be very beneficial to the teachers, students, and parents that they work with.
