Nikki taught at Bauer Dance Studio for 8 years and is excited about the merging of Bauer Dance Studio and Synergy Dance Academy Her dancing career began when she was 2 years old and she has been dancing ever since. During her second year of teaching, she used her skills and knowledge to start the performing dance company at Bauer Dance Studio. The competition company is now thriving with many different classes earning trophies at competitions throughout the year. Hailing from the Detroit based Suzettes Masters of Dance she continues to bring her world experiences to the studio!

Rory has been teaching at Bauer Dance Studio for over
four years. His love of teaching over the years has carried over from dance
and he is now pursuing elementary education at LCC. Hip hop has always been
Rory’s specialty and he has developed a unique style that has won him multiple
platinum awards at competitions. He currently teaches beginning hip hop
and while that is his specialty, Rory has long pursued Swing Dance and other
ballroom disciplines. He is currently teaching Bauer Dance Studio’s ballroom
class which covers a variety of dances ranging from Swing Dance to Waltz
that highlight a style that has endured over decades.
Alissa Davio has been dancing and competing since childhood and joined Synergy Dance Academy in 2001. She choreographed her first competition pieces last season and took high awards for both pieces. Alissa teaches Tap, Jazz and primary Ballet at Synergy.
This is Katie's first year teaching at Bauer Dance Studio. Since preschool, she participated in cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics. Whenever there is music on, she's dancing. Currently, she's attending LCC and majoring in child development and special education. She truly enjoys working with little kids and teaching acrobabies. "If you're not living to dance, you're not really living!"
Candice Cawood is a physical therapist and teaches many of our young children out of her love for dance and children. Candice started dancing when she was a child and has taught for several years. Candice teaches Dancekids and our Combo classes at Synergy
Suzie started dancing at 6 years of age and many years later she still has a passion for it. Ballet and Tap are her favorite genres. She taught for 25 years in Battle Creek, MI at Shari Rarick School of Dance where she received great training. She now hopes to share that with many students in the Lansing area. When music is playing, even if she's not physically dancing, she's dancing in her mind. To her, movement is the greatest art.
